Okay, I played it and here is my feedback (My personal opinion):
First, the game's first impressions are really good. I love the energy. Also the art and music are really nice
When I entered the first level, It felt faster than i could manage. I think you should make the chase at the start slower and more guided. Assume the player is dumb The levels were cool, I liked the characters, but the movement could use some work. I suggest you add some coyote time, and stop gravity while dashing. There's a great video by GMTK covering this:
Also while I enjoyed the story, I think people with shorter attention spans would benefit from shorter dialogues. (Ofcourse, there's the skip option but then they would be confused in certain story shifts).
Other than that, you really nailed the look and atmosphere of the game. With more polish, this game could be something great!
BTW, here are some keypoints i wrote to myself while testing the game:
-Make text more readable
-got weird text bug in first run
-best time is 0:00 when i finish a level?
-This is my personal opinion, but make the ??? character something more like [???] so it's more clear to read
-When going down a slope, i find myself trying to jump and not jumping because the player is in the air, it can be fixed with some simple coyote time (as said earlier)
-It's kinda difficult (for me atleast) to figure out where to go
